1219 Project: a human installation

We've passed the mid-point of our University of the Arts course "Approaches to Multi-Generational Theater-Making," which is a big part of the evolving Young Playwrights 1219 Project. Thus far, there's been great research done by student teams on Mural Arts, the Asian Arts Initiative and the Chinatown North neighborhood, some hands-on planting and watering of vegetables with guidance from Meei Ling (and these are budding as the "Unearth 1219" Garden on the windowsill of the Independence Foundation Learning Lab at 1219 Vine), and some great thinking on themes of home, family, community.
