The PYP Alumni Council
is a volunteer initiative which encourages alums to “pay-it-
forward” to current and future generations of student playwrights through direct mentorship, individual giving, and fundraising. We aim to engage members in programming, networking and professional development opportunities. Our membership includes a diverse representation of PYP alumni at various stages in
our professional and educational journeys.

ABOUT

beyond The Theatre...

Philadelphia Young Playwrights alumni certainly include artists working in theatre, as well as in television and film.

But the impact of PYP -- and the impact of those who were a part of it -- goes beyond the arts. We are also lawyers, teachers, doctors, politicians, community leaders, businesspeople, college students, parents, and members of professional and personal communities all across the country.

The Alumni Council's goal is to bring together and combine the resources of this diverse, multi-talented, and multi-faceted community.

Beyond the classroom...

The Alumni Council's mission is to...

... work as an independent organization overseeing new and pre-existing alumni-focused initiatives...

... collaborate and align with other PYP initiatives such as the Youth Council, Young Professionals Group, Paula Vogel Mentors Project, LEAP fellows and more...

... connect alumni-mentors to current PYP students...

... support PYP through an Alumni Giving Campaign...

... continue telling, re-telling, and re-imagining PYP's ongoing story.

beyond the past...
