Monologues not meeting these criteria will not be considered for submission.
- The subject of your monologue is up to you.
- You may submit more than one monologue (submission instructions below).
- Your monologue must be submitted by May 19, 2023.
- Monologues submitted to previous Young Playwrights’ Festivals are not eligible without significant revision.
- Monologues must be entirely written by one or more people who are under the age of 19 or in grades K-12 at the time of submission.
- We accept submissions from Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, or Delaware, or from any student who has participated in our classes in the 2022-2023 school year.

Submitting Online
• If you are submitting more than one monologue, you must fill out a Submission Form for each monologue.
- FIRST, save your monologue as a Microsoft Word Document (saved as .doc) or with the name of the document as School, Grade, Play Title, Author Last Name. (Adobe PDF Documents .PDF are also acceptable)
- Fill out the Electronic Submission form HERE. At the end of the form, you will upload your monologue, or share your Google Drive Document.
- Once you have uploaded your monologue, you will receive a confirmation email. Please review your submission info to make sure you have entered everything correctly!
• If you are submitting more than one monologue, you must fill out a Submission Form for each monologue.
If you have to submit via HARD COPY:
IMPORTANT: Monologues with incomplete cover sheets will NOT be considered for 1st place production opportunities, as we are unable to contact students directly. Monologues must be postmarked no later than May 19, 2023.

- Monologues must be typed in an easily legible font, page numbered and stapled with just one staple on the upper left side.
- Submit 1 copy of your monologue with a cover sheet attached. Keep the original at home, because monologues will not be returned. Note: We strongly encourage you to save an electronic copy of your monologue.
- Please download the official cover sheet and fill out completely. Note: An official cover sheet is required for hard copy submission.
IMPORTANT: Monologues with incomplete cover sheets will NOT be considered for 1st place production opportunities, as we are unable to contact students directly. Monologues must be postmarked no later than May 19, 2023.
