Young Voices Monologue Festival

This festival gives students the opportunity to write and submit an original monologue -- some of which are selected for a new play development process in collaboration with InterAct Theatre Company, where each student collaborates in partnership with a professional director, actor, and dramaturg to revise and stage their work.

As part of this festival, Young Playwrights will provide 2 to 3 workshops in classrooms during the school day or after-school, taking students from first draft through revised monologue. Each year, these workshops take place in November, and the festival deadline is in early December.
