The 1219 Project

The 1219 Project engages Young Playwrights’ youth artists (guided by our professional team), MAP artists and students and AAI artists and youth to, first, build a collaborative team and to forge cross-organizational understandings and creative working Teams. Together in a year-long process, the Teams will engage two or three additional organizations/businesses from Chinatown North in dialogue, storytelling and creative workshops toward making a new piece or pieces of art/theater that celebrate and highlight issues or themes important to the organizations and to the neighborhood.
