Mindy A. Early
Director of Education & Program Services
Mindy A. Early is a director, dramaturg, educator, and arts administrator. In addition to teaching over 1500 arts workshops at schools in the Greater Philadelphia Area, she regularly facilitates professional development sessions for community professionals, teachers, teaching artists, and high school students. Topics include trauma-aware teaching artistry, tactics for clear communication, instructional methods, fostering creativity, and the business of being an artist. Most recently she has facilitated professional development for Dancing Classrooms Philly, Spiral Q, the Stockton Bartol Rush Foundation, the International Teaching Artist Conference, the Kennedy Center VSA Intersections Conference, the National Guild for Community Arts Education Conference, the Philadelphia Orchestra, Leadership Philadelphia, and the School District of Philadelphia. Her blog, Create Communicate Connect, explores the writing process and provides resources and activities for writers of all genres and skill levels.
She has a B.A. in Drama from Washington College in Maryland, and she did her graduate work in Theatre at Miami University of Ohio with a concentration in Directing. Her debut Young Adult Series will be published by Lakewater Press in Spring 2020.
