Play Development Series

Plays are meant to be shared with audiences.  Young Playwrights facilitates sharing of students' plays with peers through in school Mini-Festivals, and by bringing them to audiences of the general public in staged readings, workshops and professional productions on our Play Developent Series.

Student writers are at the center of our public presentations, participating in casting, rehearsals, marketing, press relations and talk-backs with audiences. 

Longtime partners in our public presentations include Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Temple University Theaters and Philadelphia Theatre Company.

In 2007/2008, our Play Development Series partners will include:  1812 Productions, Arcadia University, Art Sanctuary, Drexel University, InterAct Theatre Company, Philadelphia Art Alliance, Philadelphia Theatre Workshop, University of the Arts, Walnut Street Theatre and The Wilma Theater
