  • Program alums Nathan Wainstein and Emily Acker help with our 2010 Annual Playwriting Festival and Literary Committee. See GALLERIES.

  • Jesse Matthew Bernstein (1994/95 Young Playwrights Alum) is featured in a spec pilot, Josh Jennings for Congress. Check it out directly at the film website www.joshjenningsforcongress.com. His scenes include the ones 6min in, 12:45min in, and 18 min in.

    Lyn Nguyen completed a senior project at Upper Darby High School about Young Playwrights programming.  Here she interviews Emily Acker, winning student playwright of Milk and Honey featured this year in our 2010 Professional Productions, currently a sophomore at Northwestern University studying playwriting.  Click HERE to watch.

William Weathersby is a dark peek into the generation that saw the decline for the middle class and the death of Kurt Cobain. Check out the play description, and more about Bruce Walsh HERE.

Bruce is a 1997 Alumnus of Philadelphia Young PLaywrights who wrote his first play in our program. He has had plays and readings produced locally in the Philadelphia Live Arts/Philly Fringe and with Azuka Theatre, Brat Productions and Theatre Exile.
